Holiday Parade 2017

Debra Sparks Dance Works was so honored to take part in the annual Holiday Parade in Newtown, PA.  The studio has been participating in this gala event for many years, and local residents are accustomed to seeing our talented dancers as they proudly march down the streets of Newtown.  The parade began on State Street at the site of the Newtown Stocking Works, and culminated in a live performance in front of the Green Parrot restaurant, on the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road. Over 50 students proudly donned their red, white and black apparel, much of which is exclusive DSDW sportswear, sweatshirts and jackets available online and at our Newtown studio.  The parade ended with a choreographed dance to the tune of  The Man With the Bag, sung by none other than our own Kate Fahey!  The performance included various styles and techniques, including aerials and acrobatics. In addition, the girls used their own props which they made to accompany the dance. Our students look forward to this special Holiday Parade every year, and we thank the community and the town for all they do to make this spectacle the fabulous event that it is!
